Performance Analysis of Brushless Wound Rotor Vernier Machine by Utilizing Third Harmonic Field Excitation

چکیده

In this paper, a self-excited topology by utilizing third harmonic field excitation is proposed for realizing the brushless operation of Wound Rotor Vernier Machine (WRVM). The consists two windings housed inside stator periphery connected in series with three-phase diode rectifier. on are 12-pole and 4-pole armature winding. winding linked to open-end star help When current supplied inverter, 4-pole, Magneto Motive Force (MMF) developed machine air gap. fundamental MMF component develops main field. tends induce which rotor periphery. induced then rectified means an H-bridge rectifier excite winding, realizes WRVM. Two-dimensional Finite Element Analysis (2D-FEA) carried out JMAG designer software validate BL-WRVM. Furthermore, analyzed comparative analysis sub-harmonic model after verification FEA results. shows that results improved average torque when compared subharmonic wound-rotor vernier machine.
